Christiani Marques is Of Counsel for the Labor Law and Mediation practices. She has more than thirty years of experience in Labor Law, conflict mediation, and corporate labor strategy. Her career combines legal practice, academia, and work as both a mediator and ombudswoman, giving her a distinctive and multidisciplinary perspective on labor relations. 

Holding both a Master’s and a PhD in Social Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, Christiani taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses for twenty-five years, making a significant contribution to the education of generations of legal professionals. She is the author of two landmark works in Brazilian labor law literature: Protection Against Strenuous Work and Employment Contracts and Aesthetic Discrimination, studies that address, respectively, adverse workplace conditions and the limits of managerial discretion in people management. 

Certified by the National Council of Justice as a conflict mediator and accredited as an ombudswoman by the Brazilian Ombudsmen Association, Christiani brings to IW Melcheds a unique ability to lead complex negotiation processes, complemented by additional training with the Harvard Negotiation Project.
