Erlan Valverde leads the firm’s tax advisory practice and is one of the partners responsible for the wealth planning area. 

With combined experience at law firms and an international consulting firm (Big4), he has over 20 years advising individuals and companies, both Brazilian and foreign. He brings three years of international experience (New York), where he led the Brazilian Desk of one of the world’s largest consulting firms. 

On the corporate side, Erlan advises on a broad range of matters, including tax planning, M&A transactions and corporate restructurings, tax advisory on inbound and outbound investments, structuring of financial products and investment funds, international taxation, indirect taxes, and strategic tax litigation. 

For individuals, he serves as an advisor to business families and company founders, focusing on the pillars of taxation, corporate governance, and succession planning. In this regard, he holds the international designation of Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), awarded by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), a global organization that certifies professionals specializing in estate and succession planning. 

Erlan holds a Master’s degree in International Tax Law from the Brazilian Institute of Tax Law (IBDT), where he is also a non-recurrent professor. Erlan also completed an extension program in Interpretation of Tax Treaties at the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD) in Amsterdam. 

He is a member of the Brazilian Institute of Wealth Planning (IBRAPP), where he participates in the Tax Affairs Committee (CAT) and the Legislative Affairs Committee (CAL).
