Vilma Toshie Kutomi is Of Counsel in the Labor Law practice at IW Melcheds. She has more than forty years of experience in Labor Law, executive compensation, collective bargaining, judicial and administrative litigation, occupational health and safety, and international mobility. Throughout her career, she has advised national and multinational companies across a wide range of industries, including banking, pharmaceuticals, food, steel, electronics, automotive, chemicals, mining, telecommunications, energy, insurance, and oil and gas. 

She was the partner in charge of the labor and executive compensation practice at Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr. e Quiroga Advogados and also worked for more than three decades at Demarest e Almeida Advogados. She holds a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, a postgraduate degree in Digital Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná, completed extension studies at the Harvard Law School, and has additional training in Mediation, Arbitration, psychosocial risks, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. 

She is recognized by leading national and international legal rankings, including Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, Leaders League, Best Lawyers, and Análise Advocacia, in which she has been featured since its first edition in Brazil.
